March 09 Custom Engle Cams (and MP upgrades)

Offered here are modern flat tappet camshafts ground by Engle Racing Cams for SB and BB Chrysler engines. These ultra performance cams offer more lift with faster valve opening and closing speeds than MP purple cams. The result is increased torque, horsepower and a wider power band. The lobes on these camshafts require valve springs with increased seat pressures. Recomended lash on solids is .018 intake and .020 exhaust, which is .010-.012 tighter than the MP cams, resulting in even more lift at the valve and less noise.

All cams are deburred and parkerized.
All cams are supplied with a cam card and assembly lube.

I have personally used Engle Racing cams for many years and can attest to their excellent design and made-in-USA quality. As an Engle dealer I am pricing these kits at a discount. In many cases when the recommended valve springs are factored in, the cost is less than what you would pay for purple cam parts. These cams provide an excellent price/performance upgrade.

Custom cams designed for your application are available for an extra cost of $15. There is no additional cost for split duration cams. More lobes are available including some that are less aggressive. Idle quality, vacuum and sound are important to many end users. By selecting duration and lobe separation, idle quality can go from mild to wild.

Here is an example of a racy idle on a custom Engle solid as a result of tighter lobe separation along with more exhaust duration. Mid to upper range torque can be explosive with this type of cam.
