Tranny fluid loeak. Need suggestions for quick temporary fix
ByGranny, my 79 Aspen sedan (225 with torqueflite), is leaking a little tranny fluid-about 8 ounces a month. Seems two of the bolts holding the pan are stripped and the fluid is dripping from the bolt holes. I’ve exceeded my repair budget for the year and am looking for a quick cheap temporary fix. Is there any kind of sealant/caulk that I can apply as a temporary stop-gap measure? It needs to be something that can easily be removed when I get ready to have the shop redo the holes and bolts? Thanks.
