oil pump on B.B.
ByHas anyone ever had trouble with oil leaking on big block oil pump? the oil pump on my block has a small drip on the back of the oil pump where there is a 15/16 (hex head )bolt with a spring behind it. this is a melling high volume pump. there is a plastic washer around the head of bolt that looks in good condition. i have tried teflon tape on the threads and that didnt work. also i just tried ARP teflon paste and hoping that will work. it is not a bad leak but is still annoying. not sure if a new washer would fix problem. any suggestions?
