No cruise… well sort of
ByBought my diesel a little over a year ago and the cruise control has never worked properly.
When you hit the ON button on the steering wheel its supposed to say "cruise" just under the odometer readout yes? Well mine doesn’t do anything.
Although, when I try to set the cruise it does kind of work. i can feel the pedal get pulled away from my foot like the speed control is going to take over but then its comes back and the truck starts losing speed. If I hold the "accel" button the truck will maintain speed and maybe gain a little.
Anyone know whats going on here? I’m leaning towards a bad vac servo and no there are no vac leaks. But would a bad servo cause the cruise light to not come on?
I haven’t tested the servo to see if it holds vacuum.
Thanks for any help
Devin
