new here, but not to cars or mopars

im new to this site but i have been around cars all my life. i am a moderator over at dodgeforum.com, but there isnt a very big croud in the old car sections.
i have always been into building up neons (i know, i know), my last neon had oodles of money dumped into it at was pushing about 400whp...but i had to sell it for misc. reasons....now its time for an old project car...
im not too familiar with V-8's, carburetors, or RWD's so this has been fun so far.....

last summer my dad gave me a 1968 plymouth valiant 2-door. it was basically just a rolling chasis with a new paint job, but with it i also got almost all the parts to put it back together......almost...

i finally started working on it not too long ago, but its been slow going throught the winter.....
i managed to put together and install an 8 3/4 rear end with a 3.23 sure grip
the car is going to have a 360 with stock iron intake, thermo quad carb, headers, mopar .484 purple cam, dual exhaust, and a few other things here and there.

there are a few things im still unclear about, and hope to find the answers here.

here are a couple pics.
1 of the car, 1, of the almost finished passenger door, 1 of the 360 when i got it, and one of the 360 as it sits now. currently the car is on jack stands and i cant find the pics of it before i put it in the garage.
