Narrowing the Pin end of Connecting Rods.

By
How hard is it?

Just about ready to pull the trigger on some Eagle SIR rods to go with my KB362 pistons. The one caveat is that the rods need to be narrowed to Magnum width (1″). This is for my 360 I’m building.

The stock width of the pin end is 1.060″ What’s the accepted width on a magnum engine? Is the dimension 1.000″? And I should probably take equal amounts off of each side.

I know I can do this myself (access to a full machine shop and able to do it), but there are just a few questions before I’m confident in doing it myself.
