narrow rear vs. mini tub

Hey All We are getting ready to start the mini tub on our 71 Dart and all of a sudden I have cold feet, seems like it’s going to be a very major project, can I do something like this, I’m scared, see what I mean cold feet.. lol… now I’ve thought of this plan and would like to run it bt you all and get some opinions.

Since we are converting to lbp we have to get axles any way how about If we install spring relocation kit and narrow housing 3" a side would this get us to to the same place as far as tire size goes? Seems like alot less work and just have axles made 3" shorter cost should be the same. What do you think??
