Measured In Board spring kit today
ByWhen I bought my car it already had the in board kit installed and never gave it any thought. I am replacing the 8 3/4 with a Dana from Strange and need the measurements so I measured the stock and new spring perches. The new ones are moved in 7 1/2 per side. I have alot of room for bigger slicks but just bought a new set of 8″ steelies from Stockton wheels and M/T 9″ slicks so they will have to do for now.
When I order my new Dana should I narrow it some? Like an inch per side or so. I was thinking that this would center these rims/wheels better and at a later date it would also still have clearance for some 10.5 slicks. It looks like I would need a 6 1/2″ backspacing rim to center the tires now.
