Keeping Generator Running Problem
ByWe’re only taking one car to Florida — and pulling an enclosed with the truck, so I need to take a portable generator.
We hadn’t started this generator (Coleman with Honda motor) in over a year. Drained the old gas (wasn’t much) and refilled with new. Problem is that it won’t stay running with gravity feed.
Dallas can spray gas in a 409 bottle (doesn’t sound safe) in the carb and keep it running — but it won’t run on its own.
He’s disconnected the gas hose to the motor and when he opens the petcock — gas flows quickly — so it isn’t a clog.
