i’m baffled

i got a 383 2bbl intake that i pulled out of an old 60s something polara, and i ran the casting numbers on the heads, and the casting numbers are 2406518 which is max wedge heads, is it possible for these to be max wedge heads with a 2bbl intake?? could somebody at one time modified this intake to fit?? could they have been running low on parts one day at the dodge plant?? could it be a wrong casting on the heads?? could it be some sort of experiment?? i’m baffled at this..
