I did a search in the forum for "hood latch issues" and came up with zilch. So I'm posting a new thread. I believe this may be a common problem with hood latches that have a lever under the dash. To pop the hood on my '79 LeBaron, I have to hold the lever in a pulled position and hammer the corner of the hood nearest the driver's door with the side of my fist. After a strike or 2 it pops. I suspect the cable has become stretched with age and needs replacing. Any thoughts? I have a '79...
