Heat Soak Remedy…
ByOkay, per your recommendations, I purchased this part. To refresh your memories… I go to to start the car in the morning and it fires right up. So sweet! Pump the gas 3 times, turn the key and VROOOM!!! Okay, after it’s thoroughly warmed up (20 mins at highway speeds) it fights me when it’s time to start up. A good five seconds of cranking, a little backfire, and then a weak start. Several people recommended this part to cure "heat soak". How do I install it? The in and out parts are easy and need no explanation. What about the other hook-up? Obviously I run a line from the filter back to the tank, but then what? Drill a hole? Tap into the return line with a 3-way? What to do? No directions with the part, of course.
Thanks.
