Got a sure grip installed in my 04 Diesel!
ByIt cost 1197.15$ for parts and 336$ in labor. I kept the original gears.
Sure made the truck go better in 2wd, though it can be a bit squirrely if you get on it hard with the front wheels turned. It’s just nice not having to put it in 4×4 every time the surface gets a bit slippery.
I had my local dealership do the work, they remarked that they thought mine was unusual for not having a sure grip from the factory. Is that so, any of the rest of your 4×4 Ram owners have an open differential from the factory, especially on a diesel?
It was a bit pricey, then again, not so bad compared to some of the prices I’ve seen in magazines for 8 3/4 pumpkins…
