Electronic Speedometer

Hello, Guys and Gals,

I was just wondering if anyone is using an electronic (as compared to a mechanical speedometer, with a cable) speedometer. I am thinking of changing to an electronic speedometer, and am looking for some input.

Do you think that the VSS from my junkyard bound ’95 Plymouth Voyager would work with an electronic speedo, or do I need to purchase a sending unit from the speedo manufacturer? Also, in my research I saw some electronic sending units that had stated 3500 RPM Max. Seems kind of low for Max RPM’s.
