New 69 RR owner in Tampa
Posted by: | CommentsGreetings,
I have spent most of my life as a GM guy (69 Chevelle, 72 Nova, 75 & 79 Trans Am) but have always looked longingly at the late 60's-Early 70's Mopars. Roadrunners and SuperBees have been at the top of my list for years.
Lucky for me the wife caved in to my pressure tactics (please, please, pleeeaaaasssse I have to have it!) and I recently acquired a Vitamin C Orange 69 Road Runner, 383 w/4speed as a project car.
The body is in nice shape as well as the paint (needs a little touch up). According to the former owner, the car was used as a quarter miler, which sounds about right as the interior is in rough shape, the electrical from the firewall back to the taillights is non-functional and the center frame rails have been replaced with box tubing (no evidence of a wreck, car is very straight, no creasing).
I've been reading through this forum a little over the past few days and can already tell it will be a huge help.

Hello to all. I am just starting my build of a 69 Roadrunner, MEEP BEEP!!!
I will probably be asking lots of questions. This is the first restoration I have done but my first car was a 65 dodge Coronet so not my first b-body, that one had a 273 a little difference in performance :-).

I’m not really a new guy.
Posted by: | CommentsHey boys and girls I am not really a new member on this site as I am close to three years here now. As you can tell from the fact I have not as of yet been able to figure out how to post any photos. I have shrunk them, enlarged them, stretched the tar out of them and finally deleted them. As you can see, no photos from me. When it comes to this computer stuff it is very obvious I am dumber than a large box of rocks. Also at my current age it is hard to remember things of this nature. Shoot sometimes it is hard to remember yesterday or the day before that. lol I am also a member of fabo and have the same success rate there (no photos) as well. Both of these are GREAT sites and I have actually purchased parts for my Demon from some great guys. The pictures I may have on fabo were placed there by another member for me (Thanks Jendel) 'cause I still can't do it right. What the devil does url mean anyway? Like a old guy would know this kind of stuff.
I do have some interesting Mopar's that I would like to share but I am about to give up on the idea of showing them here. I am on the hubgarage.com, I am Trimmer's Place garage. I have a few of my Mopar's pictured there. I would like to have those and others listed here. If I can't I will still enjoy looking at y'all's and readin' posts.
Sorry this is so long but when you get old you also get windy. So good evening from Alabama and my name is Bill.

Greetings from Vancouver BC
Posted by: | CommentsJust ended up with a ' 64 4 door Dodge 330 with a slant six from Osoyoos BC ... that's the Canadian part of the Baja desert ... as basic as they come and sun crispy ... 28k original miles ... need to know where I can find bench seat upholstery, couple of aluminum pieces for the front and a drivers side lock cylinder ... getting the plastic heater control switch rebuilt as it was toasted but other than that ... it's all there ...
Thanks for having me aboard and any input appreciated ... new to Mopar world ...

Mom and daughter looking to restore 74 Dart or Duster
Posted by: | CommentsHi everyone.
I am so glad we found this site. My 16-year-old daughter and I are shopping for project cars. We found a 74 Dart Swinger 2-door and a 74 Plymouth Duster.
The Duster appears to need less work and I just love the body style (from my younger days!) My daughter just loves cars and shares my "Old Car Fetish."
Can anyone advise me on whether one of these cars would have greater potential value than the other, if all things were equal? Also, what price range could we expect to pay for an "off frame" restoration, with a solid body and very little rust? Front floor pans in the Dart are rusted out, what should I expect to pay to have that done right?
And, most importantly, WHERE can I find all the bits and pieces I can't seem to locate through JC Whitney? I cant find a turn signal assembly for the Dart anywhere.
Thanks, I hope some of you can advise us. It has been a dream of mine for so long to restore an old but drive-able MOPAR, and anything you can do to help us will be much appreciated.
