17" on my Duster
Posted by: | CommentsI am thinking of putting 17" wheels on my Duster. Can anyone who has put these on their Duster or Demon post some pics?
What size width and offsets did you use on the front and the badc.
What size tires did you use?
Did you minitub or is the car stock?
Please post pics if you can.
Thanks,
Mike

Will a 15" wheel fit on my 63 Dart
Posted by: | CommentsSince I am having difficulties finding the 195 70r14 tire I thought that maybe I might research a 15" wheel.
If I get a tire say 195 60r15 that is 24.21" in diameter will going to the bigger wheel present unknown issues that might arise?
Also it looks like the back space is 3 1/2" or 4" stock can someone verify?
Thanks for all the patience folks.
John

need some advice
Posted by: | CommentsI just bought some rallyes (I believe they are factory rallyes) from a guy that had them on his 340 Duster. They don't have any tires yet. When I buy tires for them, what size should I buy if I want to get the widest tire that will fit on a 71 swinger? I am afraid of rubbing issues, so be conservative.

Tire size suggestions for 63 Dart convertible stock
Posted by: | CommentsHey folks, so many great suggestions here, I love to read thread after thread, but sometimes I get a little confused. I believe it is because the gray hair coming out of my head is actually gray matter leaking out from my brain and I cant stop it for some reason!
I have installed my front disc brakes from a donor 73 and has it been a learning experience! All sorts of odd things have come up and I am trying to work them out one by one.
Latest is the one wheel too far forward and rubs the fender. I have a set of stock rallye 14" wheels that currently have P215x70xSR14s on them until I can get the car to the tire shop for new tires and then a front end alignment.
From all the reading it looks like I need to check caster/camber after ride height and see if that addresses the tire position situation. I also found that the struts need to be at 40ftlb so that should set the LCA correctly, right?
So now I am looking for tires to go with on the rallye 14" wheels.
The car is a /6 so I dont want to go too big so does the 215/70-14 see like the right tire or should I go 205 or 195?
I respect all the input here so if you have some pointers I would greatly appreciate it.
Here are some pictures I took showing the tire closeness to the fender.
I had one strut bent and replaced it, but did not compare it with the other side or the old bent one.
Thanks for your expert help all!
Cheers
