My father has a 1996 lhs with 50,000 miles on it. In the last two years it has had new lower and upper intake gaskets, fuel pressure regulator and iac. It use to miss at idle and idle to slow before those repairs wer done at a chrysler dealer. Over the last few weeks it has got to where it starts hard or have to give it a litttle gas with foot to get to fire up. Has anyone ran into this problem out of the 3.5 v-6 before i get to deep into it. Other than that runs fine after started. Thanks

There appears to be a little more there with a fuel pressure and weight change, the bottom numbers should be better- highest gains- HP 20.2, TQ 24.2.....keep in mind the base carbs are much better than what a stock set would have been....

*
The Danger of a Living a Divided Life

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”...

The Danger of a Living a Divided Life

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37

I see so many Christians today who divide up their lives into tightly packed little compartments: the sacred and the secular. The sacred is what they do on Sunday, and the secular is up for grabs. It’s just whatever happens! So they have their sacred life at church, and they do their business with the world the rest of the time.

But the real Christian life—the Jesus life—is to do all things in word and in deed to the glory of God. There’s no difference between what you are on Sunday and what you are every other minute of the week!

That’s why this commandment in today’s passage is just so important. It’s Jesus’ reminder to you and me that when we truly love God, it will be with every fiber of our being. It’s not that we just give Him one day a week and live however we want the rest of the week. No, we seek to glorify Him with our entire lives. That’s real love!

Maybe you’ve found yourself at times acting like a different person depending on whether you’re in a “religious” or “secular” setting. But in reality, you should be the same person in both settings. So don’t let the day of the week dictate how devotd you are to following Christ. Honor Him every day with your entire being!

DON’T LET THE DAY OF THE WEEK DICTATE YOUR COMMITMENT TO CHRIST. INSTEAD, HONOR GOD WITH YOUR LIFE EVERY DAY!

I think many members aren't getting thier money's worth from the sight because they overlook and don't use the social groups option. I think it's a fantastic option but could only be GREAT if YOU, the members, utilize it! Mopar Style isn't the greatest site on the net just from membership size, it's that way because of YOU!, the members and the input you all have! There are many groups and you can even create a group of your own if you have an interest not already listed.

I think parts chasers could be exteremly valuable to most members. Many of you, I'm sure, could find that rare part you need because some other members might have it OR know someone that does!

Just my 2 cents worth. And now, back to you Dave!

Seeing God’s work in your life

I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.

Romans 6:19

When I consider the work that God does, I like to think about it in terms of Him being in the construction business. That’s because from the beginning of the Bible to the very end, God is always at work building something.

There’s His creative work in Genesis chapter 1, when He created the heavens and the earth. He then made man in His own image and created him after His own likeness. Then there was the building of the ark when Noah was led by God and given building plans for the formation of that ship that delivered them from of God’s judgment. And then later on there was the building of the tabernacle, and then the temple.

Then, when Jesus came to this earth, what was His profession? He was a carpenter! And He made things physically with His hands and, beyond that, said, “I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18).

And you know something? God is building you, too. It’s called “sanctification” and He’s doing it in you every day as He makes you more and more like Him. So if you struggle with sin, don’t let it get you down. Just imagine a big orange sign over your head that says, “God at work”!

AS A CHRISTIAN, YOU SPEND YOUR ENTIRE LIFE AS GOD’S CONSTRUCTION PROJECT, BEING MADE MORE LIKE HIM. SO DON’T LET YOUR STRUGGLES GET YOU DOWN. YOU’RE A WORK IN PROGRESS!

The B-Body doesn't have to be yours -- and you can use the photo of a cool B-Body that you found in Google Images.

This is my 2009 Challenger RT with about 4000 miles. It was the first 6-speed Challenger to ship to Houston -- and I searched and waited for ever for the car. As soon as I saw the Challenger Concept car, I promised to buy one if they ever went into production.

The car was all metallic black when I first bought it.

A couple of weeks after getting the RT -- a 6-speed SRT 8 became available in Little Rock, and that was the car I really wanted. SO after buying a black SRT 8 I decided I needed to do something with the RT.

I selected a heavy pearl and metallic red that Cadillac uses (costs over $1000 a gallon), and Mary Kay pink is the accent line.

I've tinted the windows, added sequential tail lights, and a skip shift eliminator.

I carried this theme on to my 46 Olds Street Rod and Pickup truck

Generosity

I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be blessed.
Psalm 37:25-26

This world puts a lot of emphasis on how important it is to look out for number one. We seem to be born with a natural fear of not having enough - for ourselves. So we hoard whatever we can just in case our perceived disaster ever strikes. But this isn't the kind of life God intends for those who are a part of his family.

God wants us to live a generous life, full of both receiving and giving. But if we don't give freely and joyfully, we miss out on the supernatural blessings that come from a life of generosity.

Living a life of generosity requires trust and a big commitment. But we must trust and be committed to the right things, the things of God. And as we follow that trust with faith in God, he will always provide us with exactly what we need.

Don't let the fear of doing without rob you of trusting in God's provisions for what you need. Remember, God doesn't need us to give to others. It is us who needs to experience the act of giving so that we can live a truly blessed and abundant life.

Dear Lord, Help me to live an abundant and generous life, giving freely to those who have needs that I can meet. Help me overcome my fear of going without by trusting in your Word and the promises you have made to always provide for me. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

i had a 1978 magnum in the 1980's it was one of my favorite cars. I now have a 1979 dodge magnum GT. I have had it for several years hoping to rebuild it. It has/had 360 in it, I replaced the distributor and fixed the radiator, rebuild the carb. Had it running good and then the trans went out. So it was time for a total resto/mod. I have stripped it down and just about got it ready for paint. My plan is to put a 5.7 HEMI in it.[IMG]/Users/test/Pictures/iPhoto Library/Originals/2007/Pictures/1979 Magnum.jpg

Since we are not going to get gasoline back to $1.50 per gallon and
coffee to $2.00 per pound maybe this would be a solution we could live
with.

DIVORCE AGREEMENT -- This is so incredibly well-put, and I can
hardly believe it's by a young person, a student!! Whatever he runs for,
I'll vote for him!

__________________________________________________ __

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists,
regressives, Marxists, and Obama supporters, et. al.:

We have stuck together since the late 1950s for the sake of the kids,
but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I
want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the
sake of future generations; but sadly, this relationship has clearly run
its course.

Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree
on what is right for us all, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We
can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own
way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

1. Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by land mass,
each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am
sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it
should be relatively easy. Our respective representatives can
effortlessly divide other assets since both sides had such distinct and
disparate tastes.

2. We don't like redistributive taxes, so you can keep them.

3. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.

4. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops,
the NRA, and the military.

5. We'll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and you can go with
wind, solar, and bio-diesel.

6. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore, and Rosie O'Donnell. You are,
however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move
all three of them.

7. We'll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical
companies, Wal-Mart, and Wall Street.

8. You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps,
homeless homeboys, hippies, druggies, and illegal aliens.

9. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and
rednecks.

10. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC, PBS and Hollywood

11. You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the
right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.

12. You can have the peace-niks and war protesters. When our allies
or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them
security.

13. We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.

14. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political
correctness, and Shirley McLain. You can also have the U.N., but we will
no longer be paying the bill.

15. We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks, and oversized luxury cars.
You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

16. You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing
doctors.

17. We'll continue to believe healthcare is an earned luxury and not
a right.

18. We'll keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and
"The National Anthem."

19. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine",
"I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing", "Kum Ba Ya,"
or "We Are the World".

20. We'll practice trickledown economics and you can continue to give
trickle up poverty your best shot.

21. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name
and our constitution and our flag.

22. Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other
like-minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree,
just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you answer
which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Sincerely,

John J. Wall

Law Student and an American

P.S.: Also, please take Ted Turner, Sean Penn, Martin Sheen, Barbara
Streisand, and Jane Fonda with you.

P.S.S..: And you won't have to "Press 1 for English" when
you call our country.

A boy comes home from school; his dad is changing the oil in the car.

"Dad, we were talking at school today. What's the difference between theory and reality?"

The man thought a minute. "Do you know old Mr. Jones, that crazy rich guy who lives down the street?"

"Sure."

"Go ask your mother, that if he offered her a million bucks to sleep with him for just one night, would she do it."

The boy is gone quite a while. When he returns, he says, "She thought about it a long time, but she said we could certainly use the money, so yeah, she'd do it."

"Okay. Go ask your older sister the same question."

The boy was back almost immediately. "She said she'd do it, in a heartbeat."

The man said, "Well, son, there you go."

"I still don't understand", said the boy.

His father replied, "Then I'll spell it out for you. In theory, we're worth two million dollars. In reality, we're living with a couple of whores."

This would be my son's, girlfriend's sister's truck.
00 S10 (Sonoma maybe?) 4.3 a/t, clubcab 2WD.

my son asked me to pop my scanner (Snap on MT 2500) on to see why the Check engine lite was on; (shoulda asked if I looked like Autozone, checking codes etc ha ha ha ha)

Anyway if there is one thing I have found since overpaying for this scanner 9 years ago, it is that although everything else in the aftermarket seems to "equate itself to GM compatibility" for lack of a better way to put it, this scanner dont seem quite as user friendly on GMs as Mopars things like the scanner telling me to disconnect the battery to clear GM codes vs doing it by 1 button on a Mopar etc;

In this case if we were talking about a mopar or jeep it would always differentiate O2's by "upstream/downstream" on the display making it easy to tell which O2 we were talking about.
This one lists "bank 1 sensor 1 bank 2 sensor 2 and bank 1 sensor 3;

When I bring up "live data" it shows data for 3 sensors;
I never looked under from the pass side, but I see 1 on Y pipe on driver side and 1 downstream.
the code says "heater circuit Bank 1, Sensor 3, O2"

Where is the bank 1 Sensor 3 O2 located?????

and why did they have to run the steering column shaft dead smack across the #3 spark plug? (seperate question from reason for post)
shows GM's "Dumb-assedness" for sure!

Be Worried. Be Very Worried!

In 1977 the "Times" front cover carried a very terrifying message: "How to Survive the Coming Ice Age." Fast forward to 2006 and one will find the same magazine's front cover speaking about Global Warming with the caption: "Be Worried. Be VERY Worried." In less than 30 years the earth apparently shifted from freezing cold to scorching hot. While you muse on this conundrum consider some very true applications to the church.

In the 1950's churches of all faiths were growing. Some were growing faster than others, nevertheless they were not stagnant. In this period of American history, one might describe faith and belonging to a church as a major factor in one's life. There was global warming for missionaries were sent abroad to educate men of the ways of God. Fast forward past the anti-establishment era of the 1960's to 1980 and one will discover that national surveys showed that churches were loosing membership faster than a Popsicle melting on city sidewalk. The bottom line - Faith was being replaced for achievement; love was being replaced with lust; church meeting were being replaced with sporting events.

Welcome to the spiritual ice age.

God expects his people to be on fire, to have purpose, to prioritize and to be people with principles that outshine the wickedness that covers this dark world, "...be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world" (Phil. 2:15). Because of shrinking membership the church today is worried, very worried.

Our culture has committed itself to socialism - that is - the government (our society) is going to solve the problems of crime, poverty, substance abuse, and teen pregnancy. But when a society won't allow the Book to be read in public places that speaks to the root cause of these problems, when a society substitutes perfect moral values to culturally centered moral values, when a society (as a whole) embraces all kinds of gods and religion as being coequal and there is no such thing as 'truth' then be worried. Be VERY worried, for the God of the Bible has just been put on ice.

The God of the Bible is a consuming fire and so must be his people. Not a fire of vengeance but of love for the church which His Son gave his life's blood to bring into existence (Heb. 12:29; Acts 20:28). It appears that in less than 30 years his people when from hot to cold, from warm to chilly, from blazing up to flaming out. Are we on ice? His people must generate a heat wave across the land to defrost the hearts of those who, "know not God nor obey his commands" (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9). But if the church is on ice, who will go? It is the duty of the church to educate sinners about God's way but if we have chosen to live like sinners what good is our salt? It won't even melt the ice and our culture falls prey to the ice age.

Then be worried. Be VERY worried!

Going to start from scratch. Refresh the engine / rings/brgs etc. Replace the flex plate due to loose bolts and send the converter in to restall maybe 4000? need advice on that. Installing the Griner (need different shifter). Got mono leafs to go on. Changing brake parts as the front rotors have been holding more than they should. Putting new tires on front as the ones I been running are older than should be run, can't imagine how I been getting away with them old tires. Going to be missing a few things to make it a little lighter.

The Deaf Italian Bookkeeper

A Mafia Godfather finds out that his bookkeeper Guido, has cheated him out of $10,000,000.00
His bookkeeper is deaf. That was the reason he got the job in the first place.

It was assumed that Guido would hear nothing so he would never have to testify in court.
When the Godfather goes to confront Guido about his missing $10 million, he takes along his lawyer who knows sign language.

The Godfather tells the lawyer, "Ask him where the money is!"

The lawyer, using sign language, asks Guido, Where's the money?
Guido signs back, "I don't know what you are talking about."
The lawyer tells the Godfather, "He says he doesn't know what you're talking about."

The Godfather pulls out a pistol, puts it to Guido's head and says, "Ask him again or I'll kill him!"

The lawyer signs to Guido, "He'll kill you if you don't tell him."
Guido trembles and signs, "OK! OK! The money is in a brown briefcase, buried behind the shed at my cousin Bruno's house.

The Godfather asks the lawyer, "What did he say?"
The lawyer replies,"He says you don't have the balls to pull the trigger."

Life is a one-time Shot

James 4:14.. Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

So often, we get bogged down in the day to day activities of life, we lose sight of not only its' brevity, but the fact life is a one-time shot. I hate to break the bad news to those who buy into the complete stupidity of reincarnation, but we were created in the image of God for this one and only journey called life. When it is over, we will have an eternal home, either with our creator, if we come to know His Son Jesus Christ by faith, or eternally separated from our Creator if we reject Christ.

The point I want to drive home today is that this is it. This is our life. This is not a dress rehearsal, there are no do-overs, we need to make the most of this time God has given us.

It is human nature not to think much about death, our own mortality. We tend to dwell on it more as we get older, since it becomes more of a reality. As we go through life, we see our grandparents die, our parents, other family members, friends, and those we know pass away. At those times, we are reminded that we too will one day die, though we try not to think about it very long. In addition to being reminded at times how brief life is, we often pause at different points to see where we are in life, look back to where we have been, and look ahead to where we want to go.

Again, as we get older, we become aware that this time on earth, this life, really does pass quickly. It is at these times of reflection when it becomes apparent how much of our life we squander and don't take advantage of. Remember this: today is a day like none other, and when it is gone, it is never coming back.

Take the time needed to reflect on your life today. Take the time to see where you are at, and where you want to go. Look at those things in your life each day that are positive, and those that are negative. The fact is, life is short. Only God knows when our time here is over. We have no control over that. What we DO have control over is how we use each day. I don't care where you live, what ethnic background you are, what your social or financial status is, the one thing all of us have in common is 24 hours. Nobody gets a second more or a second less. How we use that 24 hours becomes the key decisions we must make each day.

God has a perfect plan and purpose for your life. Allowing that plan and purpose to unfold each day is the challenge we all face. Life is a one time shot. We won't get another chance. Make the most of each and every day God gives you. It is your life, the only one you will get, so make the most of it.
