Daily Driver Dart Sport
Posted by: | CommentsI saw this Dart Sport today while running around wasting time. It was parked at a shop/junkyard and I thought maybe it was for sale. The guy outside said it was a customers in for work. I thought that was cool. It's rusty for sure but either way, these are NEVER on the road around here. This one is a stick shift too!

Newbie questions
Posted by: | CommentsI am looking at buying a 1970 dart swinger and wanted to know how hard it is to find replacement parts such as interior and grilles bumpers etc. the car has no motor and trans but I want to put a 360 in it and make around 350 horsepower. I want to go get a complete motor out of another car so I have all the accessories. What would be the best car to pull it from ? maybe the power steering and ac would be easier to hook up. Or would it be better to buy a long block and just replace everything. I would like to keep it on the cheaper side and easier side being this is my first car to ever really rebuild. I know that I will have to find some parts to interchange. But I will have to ask those later. Thanks

New member lots of questions
Posted by: | CommentsOk I got a few questions. I am looking at buy a 1970 dart swinger and wanted to know how hard it is to find parts mainly interior. I am looking at putting a 360 in it what should I get it from the car what year car for the motor. The car has no motor or trans and what should I look for cause I will need Everything power steering all the accessories. I want to make around the 350+ horsepower. What trans should I run. I plan on having the motor built but I need all the accessories and stuff. I have been helping my buddy with an olds 403 and pulleys are a pain to find and buying new ones are pricey. I just want the option to use what I have and I can switch it later. Awesome forum and I am sure I will be asking many questions. Thank you

mopar bumper jack?
Posted by: | CommentsHey all,
I'm working on a 52' Chevy for my older son, but did own a 72' Plymouth Barracuda when in highschool (85'-86'). We had a class of 12 students and one of my classmates had a 71' with the 440. He would eat my lunch off the line, we were running a 340 with 750 cfm Holley four barrel and .323 gears with the slap shift. From a 10 mph start we were hard to catch though.
I pulled this old bumper jack out of the back of the 52'. From a few hours of internet search, etc. it seems most similar to the Barracuda jacks, but not quite the same. Can anyone offer help? No date codes that I can find.

TIA,
Chris

5 Speed conversion and floor opinions?
Posted by: | CommentsRight now I have a 74 Dart Sport with a BB 727 combo but in the future I will be swapping in a TKO 5 speed.
The car was originally a 318 4 speed car so the pedals and the floor shifter hump are still in the car.
Knowing that the 5 speed shifter is going to come out in the middle of the floor should I remove and sell the shifter hump or just leave it there? Will it look odd with the original shifter hump left in place?
It has a bench seat right now but it will be getting buckets but no console.
Looking for opinions and pictures with it done both ways so I can decide which is the best way.
Thanks,
