904 low gear set

Hello Everyone. Im getting ready to rebuild the trans in my dart. I have two transmissions to choose from. One is a 904 with stock ratio gears the other is a 904 with a low gear set. would my car benefit from the low gear set or would the gear spread be to much. Car is a 68 dart with a 340 9.5 comp
