383 Barracuda 1967 Spark Plug Wires

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
I need to replace my wire set on my 1967 Barracuda Formula S 383 Torqueflite.

Should it have a black date coded set or the orange with black boots. I see both in Classic?

73 Challenger taillight question

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
OK so I have a 73 Challenger. The car has 4 lights in the rear. 2 outside lights which serve as brake, turn signal, and running lights. My 2 inside lights have a red lens on the outside and a white lens on the inside. The white lens is obviously for back up lights. But the light socket that's installed is for a single bulb only. I have no red lights on the 2 inside taillights at all. I'm thinking that this can't be correct. I would think at night I should have 4 red running lights.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Battery Cable Too Short

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
I know this is a bad idea but I want some input. My positive battery cable is too short but it is brand new with 2 leads on it. I can run 1 lead directly to the starter relay and the other can power my electric cooling fan. My question is am I an idiot if I run it underneath the steering shaft and between the #1 & #3 header pipes? I will clamp it down to ensure it won't touch. It has about three or four inches of clearance all around.

New guage panel from Mancini

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
Has anyone installed the new gauge panel fo A-body from Mancini Racing? They look like Auto Meter gauges. I am interested in one but haven't seen it installed and don't know how difficult it would be to put in or how much (if any) cutting would have to be done. Also, if the speedo is electronic, how to adapt from a cable driven one. Post pics if you have one please!

How to hotwire electronic ignition

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
So I bought this '69 Dart because I need another project like a hole in the head. The body is pretty rough but it's supposedly got a warmed over 360 in it. I can't verify the internals but the outside has some nice parts on it. A previous owner hacked the wiring and then spray bombed the entire engine compartment so you can't even tell wiring colors. I just want to make sure the engine runs ok before I spend the time to put it in my Duster. I'm wondering if there's any easy way to hotwire an electronic ignition system to make it basically a standalone system. The ignition switch wires area all cut and they tried to wire them to a generic switch with no luck. Thanks for any help.

1963 Valiant 273/60 amp altenator Wire Size

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
All

I took the dash apart and found burned wires, surprise.. I want to rewire the main power coming off the battery and alternator and the heahlights and taillights. I plan and using relays for all the lights. What size wire should I use for the lights and what size for the main power from the battery and alternator. Yes I am going to bypass the amp meter.

Thanks
Bear
