Track next week

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
Fresh engine and transmission rebuilds in both the whale and Vitamin C. Taking to the track to make a couple of passes in both next week. Then clean up for Bradenton. The Big Red Ram is in the next bay over from Dragn Wagn getting the ladder bars ripped out and replaced, converted to an automatic, and a few other enhancements. It won't be ready in time for Bradenton. The engine in the black car has never ran as good as expected. I'm hoping it just needs a tuneup, as it is really struggling to hit 9.75 and pretty much dies above 6500 rpm. Hope to get it right by Bradenton or Dallas might have to drive the Vitamin C.

Barry Grant bg400 reseal instructions

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
Does anyone know where there's a PDF of instructions on resealing a Barry Grant 400 fuel pump?

I have a minor leak at the base and not yet pulled off to see if it is a pre 2006 or the post 2006. Before I order the seals I want to look over the instructions as there's confusion of it there are 1 or 2 special tools needed.

Diamondback AFB NSS Carb Dyno test

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
Just got this from an NSS racer- dynoed his engine today and sent me this - the first test is on his main carb set modified by a very well known and highly proficient racer, second is after swapping to DBE AFB's

There appears to be a little more there with a fuel pressure and weight change, the bottom numbers should be better- highest gains- HP 20.2, TQ 24.2.....keep in mind the base carbs are much better than what a stock set would have been....

NSS Car of the Day

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
This thread is for ALL MoparStyle members to post a good photo of a NSS car. Since NSS mutually opens up to all makes at all events (for instance a Chevy won at the Monster and both Dallas and I have won at the Ford FE Nats) -- this thread will be the MoparStyle exceptions and be opened up to all makes of NSS cars. Please feel free to contribute good NSS photos to this thread.

Don’t go blind into it

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
I had a fone chat today with a very well respected member today (ok Fugly) we both seem to have the same thinkin along Drag Racing safety. I Know most of you have heard this before from me.

Just remember, no matter how fast you go, it might be the last time you ever do it. think about that and live by it, say your prayer or whatever every time before you run. Fugly and I have stories to tell about it because we were lucky on more than one ocaission each. Make sure your family and loved ones approve of it.

This ole boys bones been thru lots of it, and would rather help others do the same more safely and keep all the up and comers future bright.

Ps I even had a broken arm from a pitside blower blast!!!! I wasn't even on the team! Long LONG time ago.
