Well last night was the first race where we used the raceceiver radios, we have for a couple of years been using the transponders. We were told we had to have this weekend to get used too, and that next week end they would no longer use a line up board but only through the raceceiver you would get your posision. The big problem was that the directions were minimal duing the 300 caution laps and also red flag cautions. The race was eventually called due to the 45 minutes rule at lap 16.....normally 20 laps. I think I heard my number only twice, I was getting pretty pissed as they would not go back to the previous lap completed and some times putting cars that cuased the cautions some where in the middle instead of in the rear.One time I am trying to find out were I am supposed to be and they go green before I can even get close to that spot....single file restart with a cone at the start finish that you are not allowed to pass until after the cone. wild night lot of sheetmetal all over the track. I got hit 3 or 4 times but minimal cosmetic damage and a narrowed left rear wheel from an idiots bonzi move in turn 2. some how I started about 20th out of 24 and ended up 9th but really got screwed so many times I think I should have been 7th. Car pushed in the heat but was somewhat better in the feature, just slight push but was really hopping towards the end of the front straight, had to back out of the throttle a couple of times it got so bad. I run a soft and a medium biscut in the pull bar as we mostly get a dry slick track, it was killing me last night, maybe 2.5 inches of travel or more on the pull bar , they did run us early so the track was tacky, normally we run last.

I was just wondering what spark plug brand and number works best under alot of heat

Just installed new Mopar windage tray on a stock 360.

Flipped the motor over on the engine stand and tried to install the dipstick but it's hitting the tray.

Ideas?

Does anyone know where I can buy a set? Just like the old 273 rocker arms. Mopar Performance used to carry them, but now I cant find anything on Hughes, Mancini, or even Summit or Jeg's. Everything I'm finding is roller (expensive) or the old stamped steel non adjustable.

Any ideas, or does anyone have an extra set they'd like to get rid of?

Well, we have been out 4 nights with the stock car now and results haven't been great, but are promising. First night he slowed down for a wreck and thought they would throw a yellow and they didn't, and it went green, white, checked, so got 21st. 2 nd night it was jumping out of gear on starts so pulled it in on the green at the start. Last Sat. started 13th and finished 8th and was running right behind lead pack. When he came in I said it was really on the chip and he said it wasn't. Sounded like it so was, got to checking and #7 plug wire was pulled up out of dist. socket and coil wire wasn't in all the way either so 8th wasn't bad with 292 ci motor. LOL. That was the 340 9:1 Sportmod motor. Putting the new 360 10.5:1 in this week so will see what we have for them. Will attach a couple of pictures from when I get home.

My son is racing a 1968 Dodge Coronet and we are looking for some fenders from a 68 or 69 that maybe are a bit rusty or not good enough for the show car. Anybody have anything they are willing to part with?
