New 225/70R15 Tires

New tires today on the 1985 Gran Fury. I took several pics so that any guys in the future doing a search can see. These are P225/70R15 white wall (also search term whitewall) Nexen N’ Priz AH5 stock no. 15402NXK with date code 3223. Load rating 100 and speed rating T. I bought them locally at a tire shop in Huntsville, Alabama. I’m posting some pics at different angles for reference. Car has stock suspension.

Rear Leaf Spring Shackles – Polyurethane Upgrade

Hello All,

Please let me know if I should be posting this in the Police Forum as my car has the AHB package.

Need some feedback – hopefully someone has done this already.

I’m in the midst of installing the ESPO polyurethane bushings in my rear suspension. The bushings for the shackles have a flat face where they meet the sides of the shackle. This is very different from the original which is dished to match the shackle face. I’ve attached pictures; #1 – shows the original style on the…

Power to Manual Steering Questions

Alright, I did a silly thing and picked up a 24:1 manual box from an A body for a great deal.

I know I need a different pitman arm and a column adapter

The pitman arm is Mopar 3815780, right?

There are different adapters. Macini shows two:

PST says there’s won’t fit an 87, but that can’t be right?Screenshot_20240117-205803_Chrome.jpgScreenshot_20240117-205829_Chrome.jpg

Is there anything else I’m not thinking of?

Steering Column Interchange?

What other mopar columns will work in our cars? I’ve come across some deals and I’ve thought, dang, that’s a good deal, I wonder if that will work in my car? The current column doesn’t match anyways. It was a replacement a previous owner installed after the car was stolen.

Tilt, power, manual, doesn’t matter to me if it’ll bolt in and it’s a good deal. Swap meets will start again soon and I want to know what will work

Rims.

I’ve looked around in the search bar but not much much with my phone. But what other wheels interchange with my 89 fifth avenue. The whire wheels just aren’t for me.

New Aspen Leaf Springs

The original left side leaf spring on my Aspen had about fully de-arched and was making the ride height uneven, so I put some new springs on it. I went with these: 1976 – 1990 Chrslyer, Dodge, Plymouth rear leaf spring, 5 leaf
The car is remarkably we…
