1971 Challenger for sale

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
For sale: 1971 Challenger convertible. The car is B5 blue with white top and interior. It has a 318 with automatic transmission and an 8 3/4 rear end. It also has power steering, manual brakes, an in-dash AM/FM CD (the original AM is included), rally wheels and R/T hood (both added sometime in the past), manual top and the original bumper jack. It starts and runs very well. The body and paint looks presentable but does have typical dings, scratches and general wear that you would expect for a car this old that has not been restored. There is evidence of some minor body repair being done in the past but nothing significant that I can see. It does have an area of rust under the driver side rocker panel that will need repair. It is not really noticeable unless you squat down and look at it underneath. The odometer shows 62K miles which I believe is the original mileage. It appears that the interior and top and top boot are original. I am including in the sale new black front and rear door panels, armrests, sun visors and convertible top (I was going to convert all of the white aspects of the car to black) and a complete power top set-up to convert it from manual including the pumps, motors, wiring harness and dash switch. Asking $28,500 or reasonably close best offer. I can provide more pictures upon request as well as do my best to answer any questions you may have about the car. The car is located in the Detroit area and my email address is jk440@comcast.net

I also have a lot of parts I have collected for the car that can be purchased separately by the purchaser of the car if interested. My plan was to restore the car and in the process convert it to a 440 six pack and add the following parts; a new Six Pack Performance complete six pack shaker hood set-up; NOS 440 six pack shaker emblems; a nice pair of 1971 Challenger R/T side scoops; a very nice original 1971 gull wing with brand new reproduction trunk brackets and mounting hardware; a pair of NOS chin spoilers; a nice pair of chrome sport mirrors; an original rear valance with exhaust tip cut-outs; a good set of original Challenger exhaust tips; a newly rechromed rear bumper; a complete rally dash to convert it from a standard dash; a rally dash switch bezel with the fourth hole for the top switch; a working factory AM/FM radio; a nice rim blow steering wheel; an NOS turn signal switch; all of the pieces that would be in the auxiliary light package including the ignition light, glove box light, ash tray light and trunk light; a six-way seat track complete with original floor reinforcement brackets; a new set of chrome pedal bezel trim; NOS door sill plates; a new reproduction windshield washer bottle; a three-speed wiper set-up including the linkage arms and correct 077 wiper motor; a 1971 3443960 26" radiator and correct fan shroud; a 26" radiator core support; a big block Challenger 8 3/4 driveshaft; a pair of factory HD leaf springs from a big block Challenger R/T; a front sway bar and lower control arms w/new bushings installed; an original rear sway bar set-up; a brand new windshield; a new set of reproduction wheel opening trim; NOS outer door handles. These parts will not be available for sale to anyone other than the purchaser of the car until after the car is sold.

For Sale or Trade 73 Pro Street Barracuda

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
I have a 73 Pro Street/ Drag Barracuda i'm thinking of selling or trading. I currently have 5 old Mopars and I just don't use this one. I'm looking for something like a Road Runner, Sport Satellite, Super Bee, 63 or 64 Polara or Sport Fury, 65 Coronet or other old Mopar. I have 2 other E bodies, a 67 Coronet convertible and a 67 Barracuda notchback so i'm looking for something a little different. I feel cash price on this car is around $17500 but i'm open to other opinions. The car for sale is a 73 Barracuda. Originally a 340 car. It now has a .030 over 440 that has a steel crank, 6 pack rods, speed pro forged pistons. Compression is about 11:1. The cam is a .625 lift Crane solid roller with Comp Cams roller lifters, Dove roller rockers, the cam is driven by a Jesel belt drive. The heads are 906 with 2.14/1.81 valves and are ported and polished. Intake is a team G with 850 Holley. The car has an older small plate nitrous system that I only used a few times at the local track when they held a street car night. The car went 10.52 @ 128.56 mph. The converter is a Dynamic 9 1/2" with a reverse pattern 727 trans with a bolt in sprag. Rear is 8 3/4 with 4:56 Richmond gears and Strange axles and 3" screw in wheel studs. Rear tires are 18.5 X 31 x 15 Hoosier quick time pros. Rear half is S&W double adjustable ladder bar, aluminum tubs and floor, S&W 10 point cage. Wheels are Centerline. Car has 2 Holley blue pumps, 2 Fram filters and all braided fuel lines. 1 pump and line is dedicated for nitrous. 12 gal. cell mounted under removable panel. The hood, fenders, deck lid are fiberglass from U. S. Body source (medium weight fiberglass not the wavy light weight). The car had new 1/4 skins welded on when it was built in the mid nineties and the car has held up very well. the car is very straight and paint is very nice. The exterior is PPG base/clear and the underneath was painted with PPG single stage urethane. All lights, turn signals, wipers work. Hooker Super Comp headers with full 3" exhaust. Shifter is B&M 1/4 stick. Autometer tach, gauges, Moroso line lock. I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of stuff. i have owned this car for 19 years. It is ready to run and needs nothing to start cruising or racing. i'm interested in trades that are ready to drive (no projects) or cash is always good. Contact me through this site. I work a ton of hours mon - Fri. so it might take a couple days to return messages.
