Rear drum brake sizes????????
Posted by: | CommentsI am currently trying to fit wheels for my 72 dart Swinger and I dont seem to be able to fit the same size rims and BS as other folks. i am wondering if this can be due to the type of drums I have. can someone educate me on the different sizes they made? I have a 8 inch rim with 4.5 back spacing with a meager 225/70 x 15 and I am slammed to the wheel lip. I am thinking that maybe I have lost some space due to the drum size. thanks

SBP Drums to SBP Discs Conversion
Posted by: | CommentsHey folks!
I recently picked up a pair of Kelsey Hayes 4 piston disc brakes for my 72 Dart that I bought to replace my front 10" drum brakes. They are rusty and dusty and I plan on completely restoring them before they go on my Dart. Here's what replacement parts I have bought thus far:
•Rotors (2)
•Lower Ball Joints (2)
•Wheel Studs (10)
•Dust Caps (2)
•Re-manufactured Calipers (2)
Looking at the assembly, I have also noticed that there are a couple steel brake lines that wrap around the caliper, but have been not been able to locate them on the Fine Lines website. Does anyone know what they are called/what their part number is? Also, is there anything else I would need to completely get these brakes looking and working their very best before I install them on my car?
Thanks,
Sebastian aka thesnafu72

Rear end rubber brake hose replacement
Posted by: | CommentsHey folks, I am replacing my rubber brake lines on the rear end of my 63 dart as I move to another rear end with 10" drums and BBP from a 73 dart.
I have found that the rubber hose I purchased has a screw fitting into the brake block that sits atop the rear end to distribute out to the rear drums, but that the original fitting on the rear end looks to be part of the original block.
Can anyone verify if the rubber hose on the block can be removed and replaced?
IF this is too confusing I will post pictures to help clear up any confusion.
As always,
Cheers and thanks!
John
