1972 Plymouth Duster (Gold Duster)

Considering letting my duster go. This car started life as a slant 6. It’s had one respray in the early 2000’s but still it’s original snake skin vinyl top, I’d say it is pretty unique, and looks just as good in person as it does in the pics. I have pu…

Drivers side 73+ spindle

I was heading home from a car show over the weekend and my wheel bearing went out. Seems it’s welded itself to the spindle pretty good, and I’d probably be better off getting another one. I can’t seem to find anyone online.

Inline Power Steering Pressure Regulator

I have a federal pump on my duster, and I’d like to lower the power steering pressure. I was wondering if any of you have used an inline pressure regulator? How well did it work? How did you plumb in your pressure hose?

Thanks!

Does this 17″/18″setup seem like it will work?

I’ve read 17″/18″ wheel and tire threads on here until I went crosseyed. I have a 72 duster, it has all stock suspension, KH front disc, 8.75 A body rear. I’m in the process of switching it over to BBP, and I want to go with a 17″ wheel. For the front end, I’ll be picking up a set of 74 duster spindles, and brakes. I’m also adding QA1 UCA’s and a sway bar.

From my research this is what I’m thinking and tell me if you think I’m in the ballpark with fitment.

Smaller water pump pulley

Need a little insight. I have a 72 duster with a 360 magnum. LA timing chain cover. I have an aluminum radiator, new hoses, 6 blade aftermarket fan, with a shroud. I haven’t checked timing yet, and I don’t know which water pump the car has. So I know those are both variables I need to check.

Going down the road the car holds steady at 180 degrees, as soon as I idle at a stoplight it creeps up to 220+ and then comes right down once I take off again. From reading on here it seems that your…

Converting from Manual VB to stock?

I recently bought a 72 duster that has a 360/727. The previous owner bought a used transmission with unknown specs except it has a manual VB. The car is just a street car so I bought a stock VB that was rebuilt by A&A.

I put it in the transmissio…

72 duster AC car, heater core removal

Hey guys, I just picked up a 72 duster, the previous owner said he thought the heater core was starting to leak, so he bypassed it. I was going to put a new heater core in just to be safe.

Does anyone have instructions or tips for an AC car? I keep reading how it’s a nightmare, but no one has really posted a successful way to knock it out.

Thanks in advance.
