1989 Fifth Avenue – A sad sight

1989 Chrysler Fifth Avenue Base - Abandoned / Forfeited Vehicle - GovDeals.com

Apparently this poor thing was abandoned. Claimed to not run, not too sure about anything else. There's 2 days left on the auction, and it's only 200 bucks. If I only had more space.......could be turned into a cool beater/sleeper. View attachment 29485 View attachment 29486 View attachment 29487

K-car brake booster question

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on K-car brake booster question
Hey everyone,

So I’m trying to install Mopar Performance aluminum valve covers on my 318, and they hit the brake booster. I’m pretty sure I read that a K-car booster will bolt up with some modifications to where the petal connects. But I just wanted to make sure that the bolt pattern is the same for the firewall and the master cylinder as the stock fifth avenue booster. Thanks in advance.

Magnum 360 swap questions

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Magnum 360 swap questions
So I'm just tossing around the idea of swapping in a magnum 360 crate engine into my car, and I've had a question arise about the flex plate. I know that I need an externally balanced magnum flex plate, and according to magnumswap.com, I can't use an LA 360 flex plate, but rather a magnum specific one. I found this one on summit:

ATP Flexplates Z-332

says that the outer diameter is 11.5 inches, and in my service manual, I...

Help me ease my mind…….Rod Knock???

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Help me ease my mind…….Rod Knock???
Well, here it goes:

The car (1984 chrysler fifth avenue, stock 318, stock drivetrain, just hit 80,000 miles) has been running great until about a month ago, when I accidentally put mobil semi-synthetic 10w-30 in the car during an oil change. (they need to label the bottles better). When I started the car to drive it afterwards, I noticed a very mild knocking sound, kinda sounded like rod knock, could have been the fuel pump, not sure. I didn't really worry about it. I should also say that...

I'm having a stainless system made up in about a month and I'm thinking about replacing the manifolds due to condition and some minor exhaust leaks....

HVAC under-dash vacuum lines question

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on HVAC under-dash vacuum lines question
What's up everyone, got a bit of a question here.

I began working on the A/C in the 5th again today, and when I turned on the air, I only got airflow from the defrost, not the vents on the dash. I couldn't redirect the airflow to save my life.

So I took out the panel under the driver side of the dash, and little green chunks of what used to be rubber fell out, and I noticed that the color-coded vacuum lines were all hanging, disconnected. I'll attach 2 pictures for a reference.

I know...

tire size question

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on tire size question
So my tires are starting to show their age, and it's time to replace them. I'm currently running the stock size of 205/75/r15 on the stock 1984 M-body wheel of (I think) 15x7. IMO, there is not enough tire under the car, and I think it almost has the "pizza-cutter" look, especially in the back. Again, just my opinion. I'm going with the traditional BFG radial T/A with the white letters. I've been doing some research on different tire sizes and seeing what will work. This is what I found:...
