Wire on DC amp meter getting hot!
Posted by: | CommentsI saw a wisp of smoke so I pulled over. Turned car off and looked for possible cause of smoke. The red and black wires on the back of the DC amp meter were very warm. Started car up and monitored wires and sure enough they began to heat up......traced them out with no obvious cause?

Transmission and rear end swap out…
Posted by: | CommentsBeing as though my new Hemi RoadRunner is not a true J car...RM yes but J no, I've decided to make some changes to the driveline. Ordered a Dana 60 w/410 gear (disc brakes, drilled, slotted w/emerg brake that will fit 15" wheels), caltrac bars, and instead of going with the traditional 18 spline A833, I've decided to go with the Tremec T56. I see a lot of 'kits' for the 5 speed conversion but none for the 6 speed?? Want to use a hydraulic clutch and slam all 6. Also since the car is new to me...I decided to pull the engine, have it gone through, detailed and redo the engine bay.....figured if I had it all apart.....Currently I have a front engine plate and a Mezerie electric water pump.....don't know if they make a serpentine system for this setup or will I have to install motor mounts and manual pump and housing? Thanks for the input guys....will post pics as the build proceeds.

New to Mopar form Atlanta
Posted by: | CommentsHey what's up guys?!!? I've actually driven an SRT10 Ram1500 Quad cab since 06 but didn't think that really qualified me to join the MOPAR team. I just got my hands on a flip you over the seat 69 HEMI Roadrunner which makes me grin from ear to ear:D I love my Chevy's but there is a new BEAST in the cave!

HEMI radiator
Posted by: | CommentsHey guys, new to the forum and new to Mopar. Just bought a 69 Hemi Roadrunner with NASCAR cross ram 2-4 intake manifold. The car came with a Griffin radiator (3600CFM fan) and an electric water pump. The car runs fine as long as it's moving but in stop and go traffic she edges up to 200. I was told there is a 'HEMI radiator", and one could be had for around 800 bucks. First would this resolve my issue. Second should I go back to a manual water pump and fan or add a fan or two to the HEMI radiator. Another option is to ge a larger capacity aluminum radiator? Any help appreciated.:)
