So I am going to rebuild this one for use on my 68 383. Wondering what the vacuum thing is that is mounted in front of the top plate. Guessing something for emissions. Can it be blocked off?

I have a 68 383hp motor and numbers matching 4 speed tranny. It had been swapped into a 66 sport fury I used to have. That swap would have been done in the late seventies in Minneapolis, mn. Here is a pic of the order numbers off the tranny.

Hello all. So I was getting the 383 back together and came up short one head bolt. Anyone have a extra? Things are just snugged up at the moment so I could get it cleaned and painted. It’s one of the 5 longer ones. Thanks!
