Finally got the car running today and went to put steering fluid in the reservoir and my steering spun all the way left as soon as the car started. ??? Im at a loss. Cut the belt then I could steer. HELP….Please

The short linkage is the original for the 360 car. The longer came hooked to the trans and is original to the 440. Which linkage should be used? Maybe im over thinking the problem.
