1973 Duster $1500 OBO

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on 1973 Duster $1500 OBO
I bought a 73 Duster, and I am not in a position to fix it unfortunately. A lot of issues. Brakes are bad. Windshield has a hole in it. Powersteering leaks. Torsion bar crossmember cracked and rusted through on drivers side. Electrical is bad. Starts and drives, though the transmission is far from perfect. I screwed up buying this and need out.
The car is in Arvada, CO. It drives itself, but I recommend trailering for your own safety.

Help Wanted

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Help Wanted
Hello Everyone. I have found a ton of support on this forum, and think I should properly introduce myself. My name is Mason, I recently bought a 74 Plymouth Duster 225 Auto. I am new to working on cars, but have a mechanical background, coming from a farm/ranch upbringing in North Dakota. I moved to colorado for college, and decided to buy my car, despite it probably not being the "right" time in life to do so. (is there ever a right time for anything?)
Anyway, I am realizing I may be a bit...

Brakes really weak

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Brakes really weak
Hey all. Just bought a 74 duster 225 auto. The brakes "work" but they're really weak. You need to put the pedal in the floor to get any stoppage. I checked the pads and they should be replaced and the fluid is really dirty but full. Do you think flushing the system and replacing pads and rotors will fix this? Also how do you get the rotors off because I couldn't figure it out. Thanks

Brake parts

Hey all. I ordered brake parts for my plymouth duster from autozone (shoes, springs, and wheel cylinders) and they weren't right. Where do y'all buy brake parts?

Think I’m screwed

I got a 73 duster recently that was going to be my project. I guess I fucked up and failed to see the cracks in the frame. Is this cheaply fixable, like within $1000 or should I start looking for ways to lose this car?

Brake line oops

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Brake line oops
I was working on my brakes today and I snapped a brake line. I'm going to a junkyard to pick parts off a dart tomorrow. Do brake lines disconnect in conventions places? I snapped the one where it connects to the back right wheel cylinder
