Lift Recommendations Part Deux
Posted by: | CommentsSo as not to steal racer-x's thunder, i figured i would make my own thread...
looking to get a lift for my garage, but i have a low ceiling, and i want to be able to pull a car in alongside the GTXer even if im working on her.
(see pic below)
i saw a bendpak one-post that would have been good, but of course, they dont make it anymore!! :angry9:
http://www.asedeals.com/portable_lift.html
so ive found three other options, one of which Ma Snart mentioned on racer-x's thread.
here's Ma's suggestion:
http://www.asedeals.com/portable-car-lift-gen.html
which would work, but there are two problems; one is that there is a bar that goes across the bottom of the car for the opposite side lifting pads (which is not a deal breaker), and the second is the feet of the lift go under the car, so you cant really get all the way under car (which could be a deal breaker)
the second one is the max-jax:
http://www.asedeals.com/two-post-lifts-MaxJax.html
which is "portable" but i dont want to have to keep taking the bolts out of the ground (which may weaken the concrete taking the bolts in and out everytime i want to move it. (i realize they bolt into sleeve anchors)) also, it only has three points where you can lock it in with steel bars, and i have measured, measured, measured, but with my luck, the third position (highest) will still be hair high and the car will hit the ceiling. otherwise, it would be perfect
lastly, i found a twinbusch lift (Euro):
http://www.twin-shop.de/shop/index.php?cPath=1
which is a one poster, and it looks like the bendpak, but i couldnt find anyone here in the States that stock and/or warranty them. (i did contact the company directly, but haven't heard back yet). so this one is a distant third.
in any case, i would be using 2 trans jacks, one under the k-member and one under the pumpkin, to stabilize and add a bit of safety.
opinions and suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Classic of all cajun blonde jokes
Posted by: | CommentsCLASSIC OF ALL CAJUN BLONDE JOKES ,,,,,,,,
I love blonde jokes.
A Cajun walks into a bar with
A pet alligator by his side.
He puts the alligator up on the bar.
He turns to the astonished patrons.
"I'll make you a deal. I'll open this alligator's mouth and place my manhood inside.
Then the gator will close his
Mouth for one minute.
"Then he'll open his mouth
And I'll remove my unit unscathed.
In return for witnessing this
Spectacle,
Each of you will buy me a drink."
The crowd murmured their approval.
The man stood up on the bar,
Dropped his trousers,
And placed his Johnson and related parts in the alligator's open mouth.
The gator closed his mouth
As the crowd gasped.
After a minute,
The man grabbed a beer
bottle and smacked the
Alligator hard on the top of
its head.
The gator opened his mouth
And the man removed his genitals unscathed as promised.
The crowd cheered,
And the first of his free
Drinks were delivered.
The man stood up again and made another offer. "I'll pay anyone $100 who's willing to give it a try."
A hush fell over the crowd. After a while, a hand went up in the back of the bar.
A Blonde woman timidly
Spoke up..........
"I'll try it -
Just don't hit me so hard
with the beer bottle!"

Modine Garage Heater
Posted by: | CommentsI have 3 Modine 200,000 BTU Gas Garage Heaters.
I took them out of a bldg I just bought for my biz. It's going to be a meat plant, so i didn't need them.
they were working when pulled, and are like brand new. The heaters reside about 40 miles west of Chicago, near Aurora.
Asking $800/each as-is, cash only.
No disappointments, and no B.S. As you can see, they are in great condition. Please no lowball offers, these go for $1200-1400 new.
PM me for more info or with questions.
Thanks,
Mar
