1966 383 2bbl – core-seized

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on 1966 383 2bbl – core-seized
I'm selling a 1966 383 2bbl that has been sitting for close to 30 years. Seized, currently in the car which is being parted out. I have a 727 I will sell with it.

Engine has had items removed:
Valve covers
Timing cover
All spark plug wiring brackets
Alternator brackets
Power steering bracket
Carb
Exhaust manifolds

You can pick it up, located in southern Minnesota.
I'm looking into the nearest Fastenal to see if that's a possibility.

$150 takes both the engine and transmission....

Another One Before, Well, As The Snow Flies

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Another One Before, Well, As The Snow Flies
Got back yesterday evening with a '68 Monaco 500 I picked up from @Sam392 in Indianapolis. Got two hours of sleep and went and grabbed a Uhaul pickup and auto transport and hit the road. The weather was pretty good going down, and I was moving like the wind. Got to Steve's house and loaded up the car after a little BS'ing and checking out his '68 300. That's a sweet car! I love the rims he put on, as I said, a bankers car with attitude. It was very refreshing to be able to...

2019 Mopars in the Park

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on 2019 Mopars in the Park
Registration is open and I'm registered for the show. New venue, so a few more miles for anyone coming from the south or west, but that means new routes to take and new sights to see. I'm aiming to take the Polara 500 this year and show it off a little, might take the Polara one of the three days also. I'll be putting in my vacation at work tonight, to make sure I can be nice and rested for the show.

Looks like I've got some work to do on the car before it's ready, a little electrical...

Plastic Model Kits 1:24 1:25

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Plastic Model Kits 1:24 1:25
Time to clean out some of my models I've had for a while. I won't get around to building all of mine, so these are the ones I'm letting go of. They are complete kits with instructions and decals but most of them are opened, noted if sealed. Some have been started, I noted that so if it only says started, just the engine and transmission are assembled and painted, noted if more has been done. Most of them are Mopar kits, but some are other makes, and are listed at the end.

I'm selling the...

Starting Woes

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on Starting Woes
Went to start the 500, and this is what I hear:

I checked all the wiring from the relay to the starter, and it was good and tight.

I checked that the starter was bolted on tight.

I swapped the relay to rule that out.

I swapped the ignition cylinder to rule that out.

I gave a quick look at the wires under the dash, they all appeared to be in proper condition and not cut, or any unhooked or loose. Appeared to be.

I jumped the large bolt and S5 on the...
