Posted by: | Commentsback in 80 i stared buying magazines for cars,i noticed a couple of 71 s/e`s in the in the picture,it was a double page spread.i never thought nothing of it `till someone ask the question many years if there had ever been any 71 s/e`s produced.i went to springfling a couple years back and i ran into this gal with a 71 with a s/e window white vinyl top and overhead console with the correct material on both.she`s owned the car since `76 but it`s not an s/e,saw her again in `09 she still has it!thew car has no s/e badging in or out,its a gold exterior with a brown interior.i knew these cars existed.has anyone else seen one? is this a cool topic or what?

headlight delay relay for 70&71 e-bodies
Posted by: | Commentsif you`ve ever noticed a double bright green wire with a black open plug at the end of it and did`nt know what it was for? it`s for the headlight delay.it`s located behind the drivers side kick panel.here`s the good part, many 69-71 newports, imperials had that option so the relays are`nt that hard to get.all you need is the relay which is located above the steering colum shaft behind the dash, also get the wiring that is connected to the relay you`ll see that it has the matching plug wire that goes behind the kick panel.i`ve done this many times starting in the 80`s.sometimes the relays are bad so get an extra one.oh yeah the delay stays on for about 25 seconds after you turn off the lights, usually it`s turn of the ign swith then the lights.why the e-bodies have the wiring and not the option i don`t know.let`s make this a topic, this is one for the mopar gods.
