I have been struggling to find a garage to store this in and cant stand seeing it stay outside under a cover so I decided to see if I can pass it along to someone who can give it a proper home. To rent a garage here in North NJ it averages about $200/month. My other 70 Newport coupe occupies the only garage space I have at my house. It isn't going anywhere.

On to the car.
Here is the Feebay link I have the car listed under....

1970 Chrysler Newport VIN question. 0 (zero) or letter “o”

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on 1970 Chrysler Newport VIN question. 0 (zero) or letter “o”
As some of you know, I have 2 1970 Chrysler Newport coupes. I just noticed the titles for both of them show the VINs as CE23LOCxxxxxx. I was wondering if the 6th digit O is the letter "O" or the number 0? My insurance cards show them more looking like zeros and the vin tags looks like zeros. I'm sure 0 and O could be used interchangeably but I would just like to know for my records what the 6th digit actually is .

*NOT MINE* 1971 Newport sedan – Missouri – $2,450

NOT MINE

This 1971 Chrysler Newport needs saving. It is listed on eBay for $1425 as a body with title not including* engine or trans but thankfully the ad states the drivetrain is still in the car and can be bought for an additional $1000. So for $2450 you can buy a seemingly solid car.

1970 Chrysler Newport tire size conversion

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off on 1970 Chrysler Newport tire size conversion
I am looking to replace the ancient L78-15 bias ply tires on my recently aquired 1970 Newport coupe with stock steel rims. From what I have researched a modern alternative could be 235/75/r15? Is this the closest match?
