For all those in the San Francisco Bay Area, we are putting together a cruise/brunch on July 24th (Saturday) kicking off on the Peninsula (exact location TBA but probably in San Mateo). The cruise route is being determined right now but so far the plans are to take H92 West to Skyline and take that beautiful stretch to the Four Corners (Skyline & Woodside Rd) where we will have brunch at Alice' Restaurant. There are always tons of classic cars and motorcycles there on the weekends. After that we will be heading West on Woodside Rd (84) to the coast and heading north on H1. This is a beautiful drive. We will then stop at Cameron's Pub for dessert (the best hot fudge Sundaes on the coast) and for whatever else you folks want.

We will then continue North on H1 through Half Moon Bay (where you can see where the old Half Moon Bay Drag Strip use to be). We will continue the drive north and run through the Presidio and then end up in a spot where we can get all the cars together and take pics with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. Since we have folks coming from all corners of the Bay Area, we will disperse from there so that everyone can either head out on the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay Bridge or head south on 101 back to the South Bay.

More exact info will be coming re: times and setting the route in stone. I will be driving it early next week and talking to the owners of the places where we will be stopping.

I hope you can join us. BTW: This is not only for members of FEBO, FABO & FBBO (although we will be the majority) but also for any of your friends that have classic cars or just want to have a nice afternoon. I, personally, will have approx. 7-8 friends/fellow members from the Golden State Rods joining us and they are super nice people to hang with.

If you have any questions, fee free to ask. Again, I hope to have some of you locals join us. Also, if your ride won't be up and running by then, join us anyway. I know that a few people on FABO will be taking their daily drivers or jumping into other people's cars at the meeting spot.

Let the good times roll,
Ben

Earlier this week, I put together a last minute dinner outing with approx. 16 local car folks at Armadillo Willy's for their "All You Can Eat Rib Night". I am proud to say that a FEBO member (yours truly) won the rib eating contest. Delicious but painful. ;)

Afterwards, we were invited to see one of the guy's garage/shop. I had been to Joe's (aka: Sparky's) garage several times before but the majority of the group had never seen it. it is a car guy's/gal's auto mecca. Without giving a full-blown description, I'll let the pics speak for themselves. I'll post a teaser pic of the entrance but since there are so many images, click the link to see the 100+ shots I took. Enjoy!

I have a set of (4) new Magnum 500s for sale. (2) are 15x8s & (2) are 15x7s. They are from Stockton Wheel (which uses the correct triple plate chroming process unlike ones from Wheel Vintiques & others). They include (4) new bullseye center caps w/retainers & screws and (20) new lugnuts. See pics.

The wheels are located in the San Francisco Bay Area and can be brought down to Spring Fling on 4/17-18 if arrangements are made in advance. They can also be picked up or I will work with you on shipping them. I have found Greyhound to be the most economic way to go on larger/heavier items. I am into the wheel package for $1104 (not incl. shipping) and am asking $875 for the entire set.

I am looking for (2) BBP Magnum 500s (not road wheels). These are the chromed wheels with no trim rings. I would like to find a pair of 14x7s or 14x8s where the chrome is still nice and there is no rust (light surface is ok). I will respray the black so that does not need to be in good shape. I am in CA and of course, would like to find something close but am willing to consider any nice wheels at a reasonable cost. Please include backspacing as well.

Also, if someone with the 14x7s or 14x8s has a pair of 14x5.5s or 14x6s, I might be interested in those as well. That way, I can leave my originals boxed up for the full blown resto someday. Thanks in advance.

(1) NEW Aftermarket Bucket Seat. I bought this a few years back as a driver-only seat in a bracket car. The plans for that car have changed dramatically so the set is available. It is an afermarket Jeep replacement seat and it is unbelievably comfortable and light as well. It was purchased at 4 Wheel Parts Wholesaler and a mate can be purchased if you contact them. Paid $310 for it. Asking: $155 + SH.
