How do these plugs get removed?

I have the trans on a jack and i’m trying to align the starter bolt to the engine block.

I’m having trouble moving the trans bell far enough to the passenger side to get this aligned properly.
Is it basically a constant struggle push/pull that eventually I’ll get lucky to mate the two or is there some technique I should be applying here?

Is the bolt pattern on the flex plate equal? (i.e. does it matter which hole aligns with which converter mount)

I just pulled my transmission due to fluid not being pumped. (different thread)

So, to avoid asking questions unrelated to that thread I started this one.

First, I haven’t dropped a transmission since .. I’m guessing ’85. And that was a dirt floor in an open garage on the farm. (i.e. you can dig deeper where needed)

Now, from a garage floor I was barely able to pull that thing out. because the torsion bar piece I left in. My biggest concern is HTH am I’m I going to raise that thing…

Then motor (360) and transmission were recently rebuilt and placed back into the car. Motor is running fine and I went to add oil to the transmission.
Prior to starting the car i placed 4 quarts of oil in the transmission.

Motor is in the car and has been Dyno’d. Number of hours? Not sure what amount of time these run at. I have the specs if those help?

I just replaced the fuel tank, sender and fuel line all the way to the carb.
On my first attempt to start the car it almost instantly started and actually ran at a slow idle. Felt satisfied I heard enough i finished some other things and replaced the fuel line from filter to carb with a chrome braided hose, mainly because…

Engine will not idle and is very choppy

74 charger – 360 auto floor – rebuild with dyno.

I am left with adding trans oil to the trans but I need it to be running in neutral to ensure I have the correct amount.
Originally when I had it start it actually seemed to want to idle on it’s own. (2 weeks back)
Since then it seems to run like hell and the only way to keep it running is to periodically pump the gas.
The one piece I did not replace, as far as electronics, is the coil. It just gets very choppy and won’t remain running….

Intialy car would idle now runs like crap
