They aint uh shuckin’ me…
Posted by: | Comments..I'm gonna ditch my lean burn system anyways. I got a folder of reciepts and the build sheet to my cordoba the other day and found this in there. The car was built in 3/76 so I'd gather it was one of the first lean burn cars out there. (400 cid) This gives a couple pages hyping up the lean burn ignition, w/ pictures of the inside of the distributor and the control module. I just thought it was neat.

Finally got mine!
Posted by: | CommentsI haven't been on in awhile but I've been sort of active w/ my mopars. Me and the family bought an old house (was built before electricity was out here) but we cant date it past 1940 paper wise. Its got allot more room and best of all a shop! The shop is 26'by 30' with a chimney for a wood stove or fuel oil heater. Concrete floor and it looks like a cabin w/ a tin roof.
The reason for the new (read bigger) house... we have a new baby on the way! Its gonna be a girl, her name is gonna be Hanna Claire, and she'll be born in September. Lord willing.
Well I had bought another old sweptline to beat around in and the guy was holding it till I signed on the house. I'm glad he did that because when I went to tell him to deliver it, there sat a 71,000 mile 76 Cordoba.
I lifted the hood and saw the 400, looking untouched. Its got leather buckets, factory 8 track, cruise control, power window and locks. A/C and both mirrors are remote. Best of all its rust free, except the cowl. Its been sitting since 85 and still runs ok, but stinks of dead gas. He told me $1200 would take it. I bout choked.
Anyways we're on dial up out here so I'll upload more and better pics later. I've got $1700 in both vehicles. The truck is a pushbutton auto w/ 16' steelies. Sorry the post is so long but its been a month since I've been on here. I tried this post last week and got frustrated w/ the dial up. Now I"m on NetZero. Its a little better.

Which ignition?
Posted by: | CommentsI'm trying to decide between MSD 6A or getting a basic Mopar Performance electronic ignition kit with an ECU and ballast resistor. Is the MSD 6A worth the extra bucks? Does anyone offer a kit w/ a Mopar distributor and the MSD red box? (Mopar black box is fine too)
I'm staying away from HEI conversions so please don't fill me in on them. This is for an iron head 413 w/ 9 to 1 compression and a purple shaft .509 cam. I'll be buying new, so if you know of a sale, that too would be welcome information. Thanks guys.

My Plymouth Arrow’s awful future
Posted by: | CommentsToday I sold my Plymouth Arrow. It was a car my dad got me then kept when I left home. Well she's in really great shape body wise. After the guy loaded it on the trailer he started telling me it was gonna be a tube chassis car w/ a chevy motor... I was silent, and just nodded. Good by ol' car, I'm sorry....:(
