Ported intake gain?
I have a Victor W2 intake on my 340” engine. Intake is as cast, no porting. Would there be a benefit with getting it ported? I do not port myself so I would have to send it to get done.

this is a huge change for me. i’m used to 4000 lbs with my last 2 cars. this one is 2400 lbs.
i have to make a few changes to make it 8.50 spec. my plans are to run 9.50’s on motor and spray to 8.60’s.

340 oil pan questions
i’m shopping for oil pan for my 340. i’ve been looking at the kevko pans. any preference for sump location? i’m leaning towards a rear sump pan but not 100% sure. i don’t see any rear sump pans at the track being used.
