I have a 74 318 road runner and I went through the front suspension over the winter and put a pst front suspension kit and bilstein stocks. I just got my car aligned (it was way out of spec) and now the steering feels really loose. I knew it was always pretty terrible but now with greased up joints and bushings it’s even worse. The shop said it was my steering box (no surprise) that was causing the play.

I’ve got a 74 road runner with a 318 in it and I can’t get my temp and oil gauges to work. I sent my rallye gauge cluster to Bob’s speedometer to get them redone and then installed it and my gas gauge works now but my oil, temp, and batt don’t. I installed new oil and temp sending units and made sure that they are the sending units, not the switches. These sending units are the resistance kind, right? So I should be able to measure the resistance across the the unit and watch it vary as…

I’ve got a 74 road runner with a 318 and a 3.23 open diff rear end. I’m eventually gonna swap in a 408 stroker but I want to upgrade the suspension and rear first. I’ve been looking all over but can’t find the answer to my basic question:

If I buy a 8 3/4 open diff rear end, say with 3.55 gears, can I install some sort of limited slip (auburn or eaton) to it and convert it to a “sure grip”? Or do I have to have a third member that had factory sure grip?

Sure grip rear end questions

I’ve had to replace my rubber fuel line hose twice in the last 3 years. I’ve just been getting the regular NAPA fuel hose but it keeps cracking and I don’t want to play this game anymore. Other than going to hard lines, what are some fuel hoses that will last longer yet still look somewhat stock? I don’t like the look of the silver braided stainless steel lines. Any recommendations?
