Adam 12 Season 2 episode 5

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
Nice Mopar just before the 5 minute mark. Think it's a Super Bee, not sure. Has the wraparound stripe over the trunk & down the rear ΒΌ panels. Notice they're big on Mopar, all the cop cars are Mopars. I'd guess about '68 or '69, not as good as I used to be.

My MOPAR cousin ( AMC Eagle )

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
1986 AMC Eagle station wagon. Original color unknown, currently flat black. 258 - 6 cyl. ( hopefully soon to be AMC 360 4 Bbl. ). Auto, 4wd ( standard on AMC Eagle ). Exterior kinda rough ( flat black on everything ), interior fair. Drove it home ( stopping every 50 miles to add 2 [ or more ] qts. of oil ). Hope this is okay, not an " original Mopar, but Mopar DID buy AMC out. Pictures to follow.

Mopar Porn

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
Okay, as promised in a forum long ago & far, far away, here comes some Mopar Porn courtesy of my neighbor, The Apostle Paul. Will try to put a little info. ( what I know & managed to remember after talking to him ) at the bottom after all the pictures. Note: " Clicky " pictures ( click on to enlarge ) due to the large number. ** WARNING ** Graphic ( I hope ) Mopar Porn & lots of it.

Okay, my phone isn't communicating with Photo Bucket. I had another interior shot of the Challenger & a couple more of the truck. Every time I try to send them to Photo Bucket, it sends duplicates of what I already sent. Descriptions from what I know & remember after talking to him follow.:

1st up is the one I expect to generate the most drool ( & by the way, NO, I am NOT buying you a new keyboard because the drool ruined yours. Use a keyboard condom. ). A '70 Challenger. I don't think it's an original T/A. Pretty sure it's a clone. He said something about some guy stopping him on the road & saying he had that hood on a '72 & it didn't belong. Gave him his phone # & apparently struck some type of deal. It does have the 6 pack ( see the oversized air cleaner in the engine picture ). It was an automatic & he put a Tremec ( spelling? ) 5 speed in it.

Next up is a '96 or '97 ( sorry, I forgot which, think '96 ) 4 wheel drive. It's a 318. Was originally a reddish /maroon over silver & he repainted it to match the Challenger.

After that we have a '57 Nash. All original drivetrain. He chopped the top off & made it a removable hardtop. 4 cyl. & I guess 3 on the tree.

His wife's Mopar ( pictures not here, car & wife weren't home ) is at a guess mid '80s. It's a white Grand Fury, probably 318. I say mid '80s because it looks to me like an '88 Diplomat I once had.

Finally, no pictures because he sold it some time ago would be a mid '60s Coronet. It was a 4 door, white with a lt. blue / turquoise interior. Think I remember him saying it was a 318. He sold it to somebody in ( I think he said ) N. or S. Car.

Hope everybody enjoys the Mopar Porn. He would enjoy knowing what everybody thinks & says, so I'll try to check back.

Long ago promise

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
Am finally going to try to make good on my long ago promise for Mopar porn. Haven't been on here in a while ( too embarrassed :o ). Finally caught my neighbor home & had my phone with me. Am transferring to Photo Bucket as I type. Will try to add a list at the bottom of the pictures. He would appreciate any feedback / comments. Did not get his next door neighbor's or his wife's ( she was out with it ). Look for my next post that will be titled " Mopar Porn " ( what else? ).

Engine swap

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
Okay, Moparites, may & stress MAY have found something interesting. My question is who knows about AMC engine swaps? Here's what I'm looking at. The biggest thing I see is they never came from the factory with a V-8. Would like to find & swap an AMC V-8 into it. Not sure what's in it. the guy didn't know. Am guessing 258 6 banger ( once owned one of these new, ordered in special ). They resemble the Hornets, know at one time the Hornet was available with a V-8 ( Hornet SC360 ). Any ideas / suggestions? It is an auto, if I remember correctly AMC used Chrysler trannies & they don't have a removable bellhousing. What about room between the fenders, motor mounts, exhaust hook up, etc. Know an inline 6 wouldn't bolt up to a V-8, but would the stock manifolds & a Y pipe from a Hornet ( maybe ) work? Almost forgot, here's what I'm looking at.:

Your chance

Posted by: | Comments Comments Off
Okay folks , here goes. Your chance to get me back behind the wheel of a Mopar. I have owned some over the years & am considering another one. Here's the problem, before I can buy a Mopar, I've got to sell my FORD. Yes, I know this is a Mopar place, but if you're looking for something to drive for the winter & park your Mopar, here's your chance. It's an '01 cop car ( I think they call them Crown Victorias now, used to be LTDs, Galaxies before that ). I have it listed on Craig's List for $3,500.00. To the best of my knowledge, the only mechanical problem is the parking brake. Parts ( & I think it might not even need all of them ) were about $200.00 from a FORD place called y2kfordparts.com. Here's your chance to get it for $3,000.00. Reasons for the lowered price, 1) the parking brake & 2) if I sell it before 1 Jan., I don't have to pay tax on it next year ( the great state of Misery charges " personal property tax " on your vehicles every year ). This year it was just under $100.00. The body is rough, but solid. No rust through. Interior fair. Currently at 99, 9xx miles & will turn over soon as I plan on using it for a trip tomorrow & back Christmas. Have had a lot of work done over the last couple years. Trade is possible for a Mopar. If interested in your chance, E-mail me at 1maehyun@gmail.com. Also pictures on Photo Bucket under My Album, The Beast. Runs great, 2nd owner. Bought with 35,xxx miles on it in '03 or '04. Think '03, but not sure. Just created an album here with pictures.
