Today I purchased a 1967 Charger with its 426 Hemi engine on an engine stand. I plan on transporting the car on a flatbed to my garage about ten miles away.
I was looking at the 426 engine today and don't see any "engine brackets" on the engine. I understand that at the factory these engines were mounted onto the cradle and lifted up into the engine bay.
I was thinking of leaving it on the engine stand and lifting both the engine and stand onto my trailer or pickup bed. Or remove the engine from the stand and just lay it on a few tires in my pick-up truck.
But I still don't like the locations of where I can bolt the chains on the engine safely , while using the cherry picker.
Any ideas from someone that has transported a hemi engine are appreciated.
